Does anybody think this Marilyn signature looks real?
The menus from the mid 1950's
It's certified by GFA and AAU
it's being sold by antiquities of California for
850.00 sounds like a good price but i am hesitant.

There were no images attached to the lawsuit.

Yep, and there doesn't need to be. You look at that list of "yeah, right"-type items, and it's quite clear that this business was fabricating them.

If all that stuff was real he would have paid more than $171,000 I would imagine. That many suposed handwritten lyrics by The Beatles? It screams like a list of forgeries.

"Twist and Shout" wasn't written by John Lennon...or any of The Beatles.

Yep. Crazy stuff.

Some of the other concoctions are pretty crazy too. "Penny Lane" and "Hey Jude" signed by John Lennon? Jim Morrison contributed some lyrics to "Light My Fire", but it was written primarily by Robby Krieger. A fully-signed Doors "L.A. Woman" would be a tough one. I doubt that an authentic one exists.

So many of all these tough finds. Can't believe it didn't dawn on the buyer that they were being taken. Amazing at how easy it is to sucker people out of crazy money.

I originally said I would attach a copy of the lawsuit to my response to this discussion, but I can't so I corrected it. It appears that way in the activity stream on the home page, though.

Here is a recent sale post on the Antiquities Vegas Website.
A fully Nirvana signed Zildjian ZBT cymbal. :)

The problem is that Zildjian released their ZBT lines of cymbals in 1998. Kurt Cobain was gone in 1994. :D Great framing as expected !!!

Nothing like logic. Well spotted. Would like to find a date for the "menu".

It's a crime. I hope Chris makes out ok
Not to break in on your conversation or anything but I've been living in Vegas my entire life and my brother-in-law's executive at the flamingo hotel.

If one of you guys can send me a picture of that menu.I bet anything I could find out if it was a real menu from the era at least... A good picture of the entire front and back of the menu and I bet you I can help if ypu want. It might take him a little while actually get around to doing it but I think it can be done.
