I'm noticing a sudden influx of MJ signed Michael Jackson drawings coming on to the auction market, which seem to share the common themes of either 'portraits of historical figures' or 'Disney characters'.
Both of these themes are of course recognised from Michaels' drawings both at a young age and later in life, but it is interesting that so many new drawings are being released on to the market at the same time.
Here are some current examples:

Or how about this crazy possibility:
These are forgeries, the people behind them know they are forgeries, the people authenticating them know they are forgeries, and they're making a bunch of money.
Seems pretty simple to me.
R&R sold quite a few and will no doubt be paying out refunds. I would love to know who consigned them, although I'm quite sure I already do.
It's called "Busted"! I hope it was worth the money.
Yes I did...I will send photos once I receive them from PAAS...they are among the many drawings being examined by Mike Frost.
7 of them were bought from Memorabilia Vault. If you look back I had tremendous confidence in them...enough to defend them. I honestly don't know what to think anymore except deceived and cheated.
Listen...I am just a collector who loves Michael Jackson related material, period. Am I an expert? No. But that is where as a collector I put my trust in those that have the experience and expertise to guide me in making the right purchase. Right now I feel like I have lost tremendous confidence in the collecting world and deceived.
And thank you for your support John...very kind of you.
I sent to Mike Frost/PAAS because I have had good success with them in the past and I knew that Mike Frost had strong connections with those that could help legitimize the drawings/signatures.
Prashant,
I feel for you. I sincerely hope you get everything back you lost in this mess. It is an awful situation and feeling when you put your trust in a company and/or an authenticator and end up being cheated. This happens too often in the autograph market. Stay diligent and good luck.
Chad,
Appreciate the kind words, honestly. I know I am not the only one out there. I will outline my entire story into a logical and conscise manner that will show how all of this unfolded for me...especially the idea of building trust with those you rely upon in good faith.
Honestly John...who knows anymore if we can say that autograph is real or not...and I am being sincere in saying that.
