I'm noticing a sudden influx of MJ signed Michael Jackson drawings coming on to the auction market, which seem to share the common themes of either 'portraits of historical figures' or 'Disney characters'.
Both of these themes are of course recognised from Michaels' drawings both at a young age and later in life, but it is interesting that so many new drawings are being released on to the market at the same time.
Here are some current examples:

"Puffery?" I guess that means "lies" right?

Sam,
Most if not all of the signed drawings weren't consigned to Memorabilia Vault from what I've seen. They purchased by them. The email they sent Mike Frost once he started grilling MV that they said was from Corey Feldman, offered signed drawings to them for $400 each.
It was actually written as "400$" in the email, so the seller's native language obviously isn't English. Feldman was born in Los Angeles, so I think he knows how to use a dollar sign.
They did not send that email to Roger, BTW, at least when he was authenticating for them.
Which reminds me. Roger didn't know the claimed provenance when he first started authenticating the signed drawings. They told him about it and sent him the documentation and photos later on.
I don't know anything about Michael Jackson's art, but I'm not bad at authenticating his autograph. When Wascher first showed me the signed art with the "missing i" autographs, I told her she was out to lunch...they looked really good to me. It took her a week or weeks to convince me that her concerns were worth seriously considering.
To be clear on this, MV claimed they had an email directly from Corey asking 400$ a piece, correct Mike? As Steve mentioned, is not how we write prices here in the U.S. We usually put the $ before the amount.... such as $400.00 (this is so others not in our country understand your explanation Steve). Mem Vault then bought these drawings for 400$ a piece directly from Corey? Who did they pay? They could easily answer these questions to get off the hook here, however since they were lying about many things (whoops, I'm sorry, I meant using a little "puffery") - I doubt they will answer.
There was a "letter" that went with the drawings from Corey right from the beginning. Prashant had sent me a copy of this letter last Summer. I thought I saved it but didn't. Prashant since MV is screwing you over on these drawings financially - and now their story is fake that Corey wanted this kept a secret, can you share the letter that went with the drawings for us? I'm wondering if it is the same one as the email.

I always put the $ after when tying online as an accident. Its almost as if my mind thinks putting the $ after is like putting 500 dollars.
Do you have the prov letter?
Can both be shared? If not, why not?

sorry. what do you mean by 'regular'? Do you mean the ordinary kind of provenace letter consignors provide? Why would a letter of provenance include the original price? I have many letters of provenace, or so called provenance, but the price people paid is not included
I believe he is saying the email contained the 400$ not the prov letter.
so why were they so cheap at $400 each ? that also doesn't make sense. 'Corey' was giving them away at that price.
Sam they lied. You've been shown many times that they lied. You called it puffery. Puffery is exaggerated statements use in advertising - but they weren't ADVERTISING for anyone here, they were outright telling us lies. They're still lying to potential buyers right now by continuing to sell bogus MJ autographs/artwork/awards and they're using Roger's COA's to do that still. You chose your words, I'll chose mine, but I call it a lie.
The reason I told you to pay attention in that post was because of this. I asked you: why wouldn't the seller (be responsible for the $) if they were the ones who fabricated a story? Your response back to me was: Is it proven they fabricated the story or went with what they were told?
How about the fact that they told Roger and Mike they got the items directly from Corey too? They changed their story later--only AFTER they were busted, and Steve brought it up here What is it called when they were telling the authenticators that the items came from Corey, since they weren't selling anything to Roger and Mike?
Do you think your condescending to both Mike and Roger? Just curious.
