Hello, I received this signed Mantle postcard 20+ years ago and I’ve suspected it was a forgery this entire time since it most likely came from eBay. It’s on a 1989 Perez Steele postcard numbered out of 10k which I’m certain is real. Unfortunately, it looks like it was signed with a thick marker or pen and there was likely some ink bleeding due to the type of paper the postcard was made of. I thought I would get some opinions before tossing it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Send it to me. I'll dispose of it for you. ;-)
Glad you checked here! Yes, nice, honest Mantle. There are genuine uncertifed autographs on eBay but most I've seen are not, so it's best to check. But when you bought this, third-party authentication was rare.
honestly, I am not sure about this one. it looks a little shaky to me, and it looks off overall
Jeff uploaded a large, sharp photo so you can zoom in close. It's signed on textured, uncoated paper, which caused the shaky look to me.
it still looks off to me
When blown up fully huge what is going on where the bottom of the second downstroke changes direction to head up for the "i"? Should what looks a pen lift be there?
That's how Mantle signed. You'll see it on the M & A too.
Thanks Steve. :)
On first glance it looks good. There are two specific areas that I would question though. Wish I could see it better.
It blows up tremendously huge with 2 clicks.
Thanks, I can see the areas of concern better. Looks good to me.
that was my first impression also, it was probably good but I kept looking at it and seeing things that were concerning to me. when I double clicked, I did see the signing surface which explains the shakiness. its probably good
