I would say no
Esp when the ebay listing states it's a 1990's sig. We know that wasn't happening.

There are often exceptions to the rule, but I don't think this is one.

I'd like to see a better image but from what I see I'm not comfortable with it either.

Hello, I recently bought this item from an Ebay Seller and would like to know your opinion on this autograph by Prince if it's authentic hand signed or not. This picture seems to be a signing picture released by NPG in 1996 to promote the Emancipation album. However, I am uncertain if Prince signed in 1996 or if in this time he just signed his symbol. I would very much appreciate your determination.

P.S. I have included the first image as the item I bought and the second image is a comparison with a real autograph.

I have yet to see a single authentic Prince autograph signed after the early 90's (and by then he was just penning his symbol).

I think you have purchased a forgery and if I were you, I'd try and return it.

I agree

I also didn't think it was real. Right now on eBay, I think there are maybe two real Prince autographs, maybe three, and then all of the others are very obvious fakes in most cases. It's one thing for eBay to turn a blind eye to say...Joe DiMaggio fakes...because there are also many real ones on eBay, because Joltin Joe signed a lot. However, eBay and the entire rest of the world knows that Prince did not sign much, so eBay knows almost all of the Prince autographs on their site are fakes...and they allow it. eBay is the enabler to this blatant fraudulent activity!
If you want to find a real prince autograph, most of them are owned by us members.

The one you purchased was posted by someone else here recently. I agree with Bruce, I don't think it's real. The second one I do think is real. You can get an online opinion from Roger Epperson at roger@rogerepperson.com for $15. If PSA/DNA gives Quick Opinions on closed auctions, they're only $10 and one of eBay's approved authenticators.

Here's their link: http://www.psacard.com/store/t-quickopinionebay.aspx

I agree, I believe the 2nd one is good, but not the first one.

Well, I sent a message to Roger Epperson and he says he doesn't think it's real beacuse Prince didn't sign after 1990. So, I think that applies to the second one too.
