When is a TLS not a TLS?
When it's a "cut" that has been digitally made into a TLS, of course.
Once again, some history document collectors are applauding this effort as this piece is advertised for sale. Meanwhile, PSA/DNA does not show what they actually authenticated on their site's verification lookup.

Since we've seen this time and again with these creations:
Why do you suppose PSA/DNA does not show an image of these "cuts" on their lookup site? They usually image what they have authenticated for verification purposes in their database. But not these "cuts" which have been manipulated.
I noted that but did not speculate. It is about three times now?
I believe that so far every time we've discussed one of these digital creations , there is no corresponding image of the item in question on the PSA verification lookup database.
They're the pros. There's a reason they're not imaging them, IMHO.
I will note that, obviously, these are created before they are slabbed so it would seem someone knows something re chicken/egg...not saying, or showing, is very suggestive.
"They're the pros."
Let's not get carried away ;)
It says "Cut" on the level but what would it I say if it were a trimmed letter? How much has to be cut off? Of course, I am supposed to know this is a "copy" or fake to begin with. Not my cup of tea.
Even the font is wrong...not surprising.
This should be "Overprint/Pastiche" - wasn't one labelled "Blank Sheet" and not "Cut?" The Trump "magazine" overprint?
Julien's auction sold something like this in a framed display. If you read Julien's description, you'd never know it was some kind of "cut". It's referred to as A Richard Nixon signed souvenir presentation presidential resignation letter. Is that truly what Richard Nixon signed here?
It also says that "The letter is dated “August 9, 1974” but was signed later".
Is this what happens when one of these breaks out of it's encapsulation and is no longer identified as a "cut"? Or is this something different that President Nixon signed and saw as we now see it?

You keep making comments like this on these threads:
"Meanwhile, PSA/DNA does not show what they actually authenticated on their site's verification lookup."
Exactly what are you suggesting is going on with these concoctions?
Common sense says they authenticated exactly what you are seeing since it is inside a slab. There is no reason to imply anything to the contrary.
If you want to know why they aren't pictured on the verification page you could email the seller or PSA and ask them.
I don't particularly like these concoctions or Frankenstein creations, but PSA's use of the word "cut" is an acknowledgement that the item is not what is might appear to be (photo, document, etc.). They are only saying that the signature is real.
This is clearly a signed page that had the text added around the signature. It does not in any way resemble original White House stationery. Furthermore, the text was obviously printed on a printer, not typed on a typewriter. It is a fantasy collectable.
