PSA and JSA authenticated this fake McCartney "Signed" Abbey Road Drawing

https://www.ebay.com/itm/127604725724  "Abbey Road"

Up for auction for nearly half a million dollars -- and it's fake. Has all the hallmarks of a known forger who has been exposed on this site in 2014.

How could PSA and JSA authenticate this?

Here are some examples of the forgers artwork so you can see how similar they are.

I think the guy who did this Abbey Road forgery (Erick) is not "The Southern California forger or forgers as no one knows who he or they are.  How can you confirm that?  Unless "SoCal" is a different person?

I don't know for sure, but some copies that were labeled as SoCal look the same (or at least very similar) to Erick's, for example this one, which, by the way, I recently saw for sale again on eBay.

I know that SoCal did many full sets of Beatles fakes on a photos, paper, lps, etc. Wasn't aware that Erick specialized in those -- just know him from all those Michael Jackson drawings w/ fake sigs. It's possible they all could be from him.

In my records I have this one that was declared a SoCal forgery, maybe that's why I deduced it.

Here’s the OP followed by the example I posted above.

+1 I saw the same.

I had thought they were one in the same at one point in time as well - but I think ballroom said they were slightly different so not sure if So Cali forger is him or not.  The item in question however is 1000% erick at the beginning of this thread.  I was involved with outing him way back when

Hi Wascher. I’m not aware of any connection between Erick and the SoCal forgeries. I think the SoCal forgery style goes back quite some time.

SoCal goes back to the late '90s.

Seller who has this fake on consignment emailed me that if it doesn't sell on eBay, he will put it in one of the major auction houses soon. Let's see if anyone bites...

A major auction house might accept it based on the erroneous double authentication, but will they include in the auction description the ridiculous claim that it’s Paul’s artwork? The seller really needs that for the price to go anywhere, and it doesn’t say that on the label or LOA. If the auction house goes along with that nonsense, it will probably have a delusional reserve that won’t be met.

Yes, the JSA label does say it's a signed sketch. So does the PSA slab. "Signed Artwork"

I hope Iconic or Gotta doesn't take this.

We'll be on them with our proof if they do!
