a few month ago i posted a discussion on how id sent an image of this Hendrix signature from e bay to PSA for a quick opinion and they came back likely not genuine and how Roger Epperson had in the meantime passed it as genuine
what a surprise to find that now its in the hands of a big autograph dealer at over three times the price its now passed PSA with flying colours and is fully certificated ..how odd

This is how the world works boys and girls.. if you have money you get special treatment.. this hobby is no exception. PSA does not exist to make everyone feel better about their autographs, they exist to make money, plain and simple.
One thing to keep in mind is that you can submit items to PSA with supporting documentation, such as an Epperson letter, or other provenance. They will take it into consideration when opining on your item. Also good to keep in mind is that PSA Quick Opinion is generally worthless and a waste of money.

Here is how it works. When you are a big customer, you call the TPA and get one the the "brand names" to look at the eBay item for you. Just a hunch, but I doubt big customers are using "Quick Opinion." ;-)
Yep, the same way Delta Airlines assigns you a personal pilot vs calling the 800 number to book a flight.
You'd be very hard pressed to name a company that doesn't offer preferential treatment to their biggest clients.. thats business 101.
First, I have no opinion on this signature. That said, why wouldn't you have initially trusted Roger rather than an unknown authenticator of unknown experience who happened to be working the Quick Opinion desk that day?
We have seen a number of anecdotes from reliable sources that Quick Opinion has failed high risk items only to see them later passed upon full exam. It appears they would rather fail something on QO and pass it later on full exam than the reverse.
Hendrix, you want Ballroom Days, Epperson or (I shudder),the wiley Grant from Auto Planet! Yup, he knows his Hendrix! PSA quick opinion except Mickey Mantle is probably worthless. I also agree that one day a scandal will be exposed with one of these big sellers. Things have already been talked about on this site about certain sellers with guys in their pocket but Im not getting into that.
i trust ballroom and Roger i was pushed for time though it was bought and flipped by a dealer just a few hours later , i assumed like most PSA would have a hendrix expert not just someone who happened to be around
lesson learnt
