One of the last great movie stars.

I shared this on the Autograph Hounds site this morning:

Always liked and respected how he essentially came out of retirement to play Alexander Pierce in Captain America: The Winter Soldier at his grandchildren's urging, outacted nearly everyone on-screen, and then came back for a cameo in Endgame for the hell of it.

To say nothing of him essentially giving indie cinema a true shot in the arm through the establishment of Sundance.

He was an actor's actor. The best of the best. Rest in peace.

I really admired him for All is Lost. That was a masterful film.

I hated All is Lost. He's good in it, but it's a borefest. Three of my favorite films of all time: A River Runs Through It, The Natural, and The Sting.

I have an autographed 8x10 I bought 30 years ago, but what I like more -- at an RR Auction, buying a baseball card of Roy Hobbs used in the movie (I think it was $50 and nobody else bid on it).

Hope he's having fun with Paul !!!!

To me, Robert Redford was just Robert Redford in all his films.
