It's been 5 years since we published our first Band-Signed Beatles Album Census.

It's time to update it!

A history of full-band-signed Beatles album prices would be hugely helpful to the marketplace as well, going back as far as we can, so let's build that, too. Not just from auctions, but reports from collectors and dealers who have sold them.

For starters, please read the 2011 Census, which had a few years of updating and other input added by collectors and dealers.

Add your research and commentary to this discussion for now, and as we get more data, we'll post two separate discussions to fine tune it. Once we feel comfortable with the information we have and what we have determined, we'll publish reports that will help collectors and dealers worldwide make better educated decisions on Beatles album sales and purchases.

These are the results of the 2011 census:

Thorsten do you have a scan of the other Rubber soul?
Would you know the reason for the name of the lp?

Here are a few that I do believe might be missing in the census...

The Rubber Soul sold at auction in 1999, so I would be surprised if it wasn't in the census. Are you aware of another one?

yes the one from December 65 for a certain Brian sold with a Help LP around 2 years ago.

Then you're right, the census is off by one.

Are all Help Lps included?

Tracks has had at least 2 Help LPs in the last year or 2.

Thorston, I forgot you posted the other Rubber Soul...thanks!

The census at the top of this discussion was prepared by Frank Caiazzo in 2011, plus any additions as noted in it. I don't know if it includes the particular one you posted.

Who is Brian or was that a typo?

Yeah... I was the guy that bought that 2 years ago. And Brian signed 3 other items. And my item came with his handwritten letter. And I just saw the cover signed in 1968 and there is a huge difference. And that is not to gloat. Mine just appeared. There very well may be one or two more out there. Ya never know.

We need to trace the history of all genuine Beatles-signed albums and get photos for as many as we can. That will make the census especially valuable.
