Ahhh, my bad thanks for the clarification :)

I didn't see that dropdown list. It just selected my country automatically.

Have you got a link for this?  I have not been able to find it, but maybe its sold out already

Originally I followed the link from the publisher's page which was posted earlier in the thread:

Why can’t you pay with PayPal? The option is greyed out. Kinda sketchy looking site too. Might pass.

ditto.  I have never bought from Powell's.  Seem reputable but I am concerned that I can't use paypal.  I'm passing on this too.  Too many $$ to risk.

good to know.  Thank you!

thanks for the link by the way.  I couldn't use paypal so I will pass.

Wow $500 for the youngest living president.. seems outrageous. Ive got Jimmy Carter practically for free, both bushes fairly easy and trump thru the mail before he became president.. Obama should be another $50 ticket like Clinton at some point in his life..

Absolutely, dead cheap. I would happily pay that for Bruce's alone. And the guarantee this is authentic, unlike the secondary market, which is notoriously filled with fakes:

https://archives.fbi.gov/archives/news/stories/2005/july/operation-...

And this is from a while back, with increased technology, it only got easier to counterfeit sought after signatures. I have stories to tell...

Not saying you're wrong... but as soon as Obama sells a $50 autograph, unless he sells so many they aren't worth anything like Taylor Swift did, they're going to all end up on eBay for $500-1000 anyway.

Obama was a very popular and historic president... and at $500 technically you could call his autograph free since Springsteen can be worth more than $500 on his own.

Carter wasn't nearly as popular. Trump was a somewhat washed up reality TV star before he became president. He was easy/cheap to get before president but not as easy or cheap now... can't really compare Obamas presidential autograph to Trumps reality TV autograph. I haven't checked prices lately but I'm sure Trumps autograph would be similar price to Obama's considering his popularity now that he's been president. Just the cost to authenticate his autograph went up like triple the price once he became president.

If you got Obama's autograph when he was running for local office in Chicago it would have been a lot easier and cheaper... similar to how Trump's would be pre-presidency as well... but we don't have time machines, so I don't see the comparison.

I can see Obama's price go down in the long run, if he, like Clinton, keeps bringing out signed books. Right now it's $350-$500 collectors editions keeping the prices up there, but if in the future he does signings for regular priced books then I can see the value drop quickly. Maybe not to $50, only time will tell, but if you see this as a long-term investment based on the Obama signature then I think you shouldn't count on Obama staying worth $500.

Springsteen on the other hand is another matter. When he stops signing prices will only go up. As others pointed out this is a rare opportunity to get an authentic signature. His previous signed books are around $300-$350. So even if Obama's value would drop to around $100 this book still holds it's value (add the rest for the size and quality of this book).

On top of that the Obama/Springsteen combination is unique, making this a collectors item that might be specifically sought-after by new collectors in the future. Therefore overall I think this book makes a great investment (with investment I'm not talking about flipping, but holding value for our pension/ children)

I’m holding out for the Trump and Ted Nugent book. Probably won’t break anybody’s bank on that one.
