Steely Dan just bought last night - waiting for PSA Quick opinion but Skunk vouched for it

anyone fluent in Steely Dan? PSA Quick gave this thumbs down but Skunk replied to my IM "absolutely" when I asked him if genuine

I hate to say it but yours look like poor forgeries signed by the same person. I can't find a member named Skunk.

thanks Steve, the ebay seller had stellar rating and Skunk is one of the signatures. they looked poor enough that I thought the seller wouldn't have the nerve to list unless he knew otherwise. PSA Quick also sent me a "Not Likely" on Rough Trade Clapton/Yardbirds limited edition which seemed odd

Stellar ratings are the norm for most forgers. Feedback means someone supposedly got something - that is it. Do not place your faith in Quick Opinions - they are rendered in seconds.

As far as sending that to Roger save your money.

This is self confirming based on a hope and VERY dangerous thinking. Sellers will love you deeply.

Thanks Eric, it was based on a hope - not the end of the world. when I want a refund he will accept a return, if necessary

IF? You've been had from all you've shown.

He says he doesn't take returns so you will have to file an SNAD.

But if deemed non authentic by either JSA PSA or Becket I will take a return and refund you the purchase price.

Send to Roger for $15 Quick Opinion but you may well be throwing more money away.

Why did you buy and then ask questions? It's the other way around. Buying an autograph is the very last step. Learning what to look for, what is real, what it should look like, how/where signed, when, with what, common inscriptions, the common forgeries and secretarials (if any) to avoid and so much more. Buying on the strength of a QO can be problematic. We don't allow them to be used here to sell items no matter who issued them.

the seller stated full refund if failed 3rd party auth. He hasn't even shipped yet but you mention that QO's aren't worth much and I tend to agree. maybe Skunk didn't want to be bothered but his opinion mattered also. thanks for commenting
