I am having a tough time trying to figure out which Autograph companies are trustworthy. I think Autograph World seems fine. RR Auctions seems ok but kind of pricey. I have my doubts about AACS...I've seen a lot of questionable things there. Can anyone give me there opinion about any of these dealers? I'm mainly interested in Music Autographs.

Hey Jennifer,
In my opinion, hands down, without a doubt, one of the very few most reliable sharpest eyes and most dependable and trustworthy dealers is: http://www.signedsealeddel.com/ Buying from Roger = sleeping comfortable at night.
Good Luck,

Hi Everyone,

This is one of the most important topics on this website. To save lots of questions on differing parts of the site... Can we have somewhere on the Website a clear list of - Name and shame bad guys - don't go near them to buy and a list of these guys are good - ok to buy from. Top of the bad guys must be autographs America.

But I also wanted to ask about a dealer MSPS  REALGRAPHS LTD who was based in Cyprus and traded through ebay whom I have bought  afew things off e.g. Deep Purple and Kill Bill fully signed items I am now having some doubts about. Any info on this company ?

Thanks
Alistair

good reputable dealers-roger epperson,tracks uk,markus brandes,rr auction,memorabillia uk,jeff gold,signed by hand,autograph sale.These are your best bet for genuine music autographs and hollywood
LOL
I like RRAuction a great deal.
True. And Robert Epperson. And all items from Reznikoff ´s and Bill White´s hands. There are OK all non-America´s items from HA company so I think US items will be ok too here.... But I am not expert. Sorry for my bad English

I am squeeky new to this site, the question I have is not so much who is a reputable dealer, just how does one find examples of signatures in the public domain.  Some individuals already have a value to their autograph, other signatures are not valuable, but individual collectors would like to know.  I have five reference books loads of signatures, and Sanders Price Guide (7) but trying to find samples true, original signatures is an unexpected problem.  Is there an auction process I am not aware?

I would appreciate any information you may offer.  Thank You.

What about Antiquities of California in SFO?

Good dealer?

No.  I just checked them out yesterday.  I didn't look for too long, but I didn't see anything I felt confident was authentic.  There were a few things that were definitely fakes.

Too bad they don't put nearly enough time into their authenticity as they do over-framing it.

These are fake and overpriced:

Green Bay Packers signed football

Green Bay Packers signed jersey

U2 - Bono signed photo

Not sure why they spend so much money framing crap.

I have my doubts about AACS...I've seen a lot of questionable things there.

AACS has been expelled by the UACC.  'Nuff said.

Just read this post from Mr Z (21 June) and guess what - i bought the following from them 3 days ago

I just cannot seem to win??- another dud - what to do with all my fakes????

PS thanks for the Heston study Z - now a heston expert (Not??!!) but at least a lot more knowledgable re Heston

Thanks

Grant

This item is personalized... might be real. I really don't know.

If you just bought it three days ago, you should be able to return it.
