You may have noticed that the book "A Wrinkle in Time" by Madeleine L'Engle will soon be a blockbuster movie from Disney. I loved that book when I was in elementary school, and I remember the author…Continue

I looked at the "signed" copy of the Doors LP "Waiting For The Sun", and in my opinion it's a terrible forgery.

It would be funny if it wasn't so sad but how about this for an utterly appalling Tiger Woods fake :

http://guaranteedautographs.com/wotihiplgo20.html

and if you ever need to frighten any naughty children then show them the Jack Nicklaus or Arnold Palmer "signatures" from this site :(

@Steve - probability;  (1) : the ratio of the number of outcomes in an exhaustive set of equally likely outcomes that produce a given event to the total number of possible outcomes (2) : the chance that a given event will occur .

I am unsure if in this instance the possible outcome is finding an Authentic Item amongst Non-authentic ones or vice-versa.  However based on the prior few comments it would appear to be much more the former vs the latter.

Thus it would seem to answer the other measure of probability; a logical relation between statements such that evidence confirming one confirms the other to some degree  would it not?

How's this for Guaranteed Autographs guarantee of authenticity (besides touting forensic examiners):

Our policy on autographs is that we guarantee the authenticity of each item to the very best of our ability. The best guarantee a buyer has for autographs is the credibility and experience of the dealer and the probability of the dealer being in business in the future. If requested in writing ,we will write a LETTER of AUTHENTICITY for the original purchaser.

Bill called it on Guaranteed Autographs. If they have ANY genuine autographs I've never seen them.

They remind me so much of Pop Culture Signatures http://www.popculturesignatures.com/ I've wondered if they're related companies. Horrible forgeries throughout.

In case anyone is wondering about the msg being responded to that was sent as msg instead of the comment;  here it is;

A message from David Wright to all members of Authentication and Forgery Alert on Autograph Magazine Live!!

Has anyone had any dealings with

http://guaranteedautographs.com/

or have any information about Dr Radwill who appears to own/operate this site.

Interested members may care to take a look at the golf items purportedly from Messrs Nicklaus, Palmer and Woods and the Star Wars items purportedly from Dave Prowse. In my humble opinion, these signatures are HIGHLY atypical :(

Has anyone the time to look at some of the other offerings from this site and comment?

Best wishes, David.

p.s. Mr. Bill - where ya been hiding...must be alot of proctologists obtaining degrees lately & I wonder if the have forensic qualifications as well.    lol

Just received an email re: "Guaranteed Autographs". My opinion: the only "guarantee" is that you will be ripped-off, and the only doctorate held by "Dr. Radwill" is "Doctor of Proctology" because by dealing with him, you're going to take it in the a__.

A few nights ago, out of nowhere, someone sent to me a signed Beatles album cover bought from the good doctor that was more likely signed by the "Beetles". It of course bore a COA, this one from the geniuses at STAT. In my own inimitable fashion, I told him what I thought of it.

Read his terms...laughable. He should be run out of town on a rail.

RE: GuaranteedAutographs.com

In my opinion, all the astronaut offerings are highly suspect.

This subject is currently running on one of the NASCAR threads but deserves mention here since one of them just sold for $400.00 on Coach's Corner.   The winning bidder thought they bought a signed Petty & Earnhardt but what they bought was a forged Petty (it appears) and celebrity dead ringer Look-a-Like Bob Brinkerhoff who was kind enough to chime in and link to his all-rights-owned & copyrighted photo with Petty!

Is anyone familiar with Lady Gaga autographs?  There are 2 on eBay, and I would like to have if possible an opinion on them.
