Curious Nate, do you have a link to the Julien story about bringing the LPs back to the UK?

The suggested Julian Lennon part of this items history amed me think of something I once had. I remember in the 80's I bought and sold a beautiful pair of post cards that John and Yoko sent to Julian in late 1971 while he was staying with a friend and his parents in the school holidays (I bought them from his friends mother).

The post cards were really expensive looking and featured that old style, thick plastic 3D effect, I remember that one featured an old sailing ship. John had written every single letter in a different coloured felt tip pen to the letter next to it...must have taken ages to write and the effect was quite stunning. The person I sold them to later sold them on via a Sotheby's auction in NYC and somebody told me that it was Julian himself who bought them, for a lot more than I sold them for too! (Not a problem, he was a good customer and was quite open with me about the sale. I was happy for him)

It's one of the finest signed Lennon albums I have ever seen.

I am not doubting that it is genuine. I am curious about this Julian Lennon connection. Nate even said these are just stories.

I can't find anything showing Julian brought them back to the UK. I could speculate that Julian asked to give them to his school friends since he had not seen his dad in 3 or 4 years (I wonder though if a 10/11 year old would even think of that), but the provenance would be purely based on speculation.

Still a wonderful piece Nate. Congratulation s.

The provenance is lost to history.
Congrats anyway Nate.
