I have lost touch over the last 15 to 20 years with how this inconsistent signer has developed so I am just not sure about this example which comes with zero provenance. With the very notable exceptions of Stephen King and Cormac McCarthy I believe I have personally obtained in-person autographs from the vast majority of the most prominent authors of the past 30 years including winners of the Nobel prize for literature. Many of these encounters have been the most fascinating or memorable experiences in my working life and I feel privileged to have had them.
