"1775 Almanac"

I'm the expert who answers the question: Who used this almanac as a diary as the first shots were fired in the American Revolution?

Herman,

This was a terrific and informative show. I appreciate the aknowledgement of University Archives at the end. I'd love to buy the item!

I'm in the first segment ("1775 Almanac"). It's about a Massachusetts gentleman who inherited a 1775 "Almanack" from his grandmother. There were handwritten notes on some of the pages where the owner was using the almanac as a diary, recording events such as "battles fought" on April 19, 1775 and a notation about a battle in May (Bunker Hill). "History Detectives" investigator Elyse Luray did some fantastic detective work to find out who may have handwritten those unsigned handwritten notes. I was the expert who was shown the writing in the almanac and compared it to handwritten letters in the Library of Congress, hoping to discover whom the writer may have been.
