In the last week ebay has stopped responding to reports from their own EMR (enhanced member reporting) team. This team would report bogus items and items with COA's from banned authenticators. Usually the reports were acted on, sometimes very promptly, sometimes slowly, but usually the reports were being used by ebay. Though there were some very large ebay autograph sellers that seemed to have immunity to these reports.

Now ebay is not even listening to the EMR reports. Ebay is flooded with crap and more is on the way.

BEWARE of buying autographs on ebay. It is a cesspool now and unless things change it will only get worse.

All collectors should write to ebay and  post this news on every forum, blog and board you can find.

This is critical.

They are celebrting now in Florida.

Flooded with forgeries. Part of the problem is some of these crappy authenticators who are garbage phonies allowed by EBAY. They really need to react quicker to ban some of these turds.

Weeding thru the crap is frustrating but finding that 1 or 2 good nuggets is pretty nice...It's a shame that most of us on here do the police work and now there is no follow up.

It's been a little over a week now and still nothing is being removed.

The scammers on EBay are now running the show.

Crap like this is not being removed.

These piece-of-crap forgeries listed by EBay seller mcollins10, should have been removed by now.

A friend of mine told me it was submitted to "Quick Opinion (and, of course failed)" and it remains active.

The scammers look to be running the show on Ebay.

Like anyone with a real Babe sig would send it to that moron Drew Max. Would diminish the value. I wouldn't send a Ruth to anyone other than PSA.

I agree, ebay has never taken down one item i have reported. Heck, even when i post them on this site and everyone agrees, ebay never seems to pay attention. Their really are some sellers that have immunity and things are getting bad. I have noticed it more and more.

But i have to say that i love ebay. Dont get me wrong, i hate all the fakes and people scamming others, but when you are familiar with autographs, it opens up incredible possibilites for finding very rare autographs at amazing prices. Its such an amazing resource, that it is sickening that forgers are getting more and more free reign. But i do believe that this will be remedied, and hopefully soon. I hope that this is just a phase, and if enough of us complain and put the word out, that things will get better again.

Search EBAY for GA items. Its crazy the junk they are authenticating.

My first eBay purchase was a forged Robert De Niro autograph back in 2001.  Since then I have avoided purchasing autographs on eBay.  It is nothing more than a garage sale.  The sellers are given the benefit of the doubt way too often.  The item that Christopher posted is a joke.
