James Gandolfini, from The Sopranoes, apparently threw punches at an autograph seeker previously. So it's not surprise that when a fan (not a paparazzi, although he probably didn't know that) started filming him, he yelled at the guy before pushing his camera down. The guy said he's not used to such treatment and is considering a lawsuit.
Another story that isn't really an autograph story, but something collectors might be able to appreciate....
New Zealand agricultural minister Nick Smith was immortalized in a sculpture, by artist Sam Mahon, who usually works in bronze. Although this was a similar color, it was cow manure that he decided to work with.
The piece didn't stink (figuratively or literally), and got over 110 bidders, finally selling for $2,200.
The manure was put in a coffee grinder to make it easier to work with (I'm assume the c offee grinder is no longer used...unless it's for that fancy coffee from Egypt, that's made with cat droppings. But I haven't had my breakfast or early morning coffee yet, so I should probably change the subject).
The sculpture was polished up nicely with beeswax.
And who says you can't polish a.....
Oh, nevermind.
