The passing of a legend. I loved all those old stop motion monster movies and still prefer them to some of the cgi stuff. ( I know Im old)
Great photos! I remember doing a story on Comic Con one year, about 8 years ago, and was talking to somebody at a table. An older guy sat down next to me, and a crowd of about 45 people just started applauding. I leaned over to the person I was talking with and said "Who is that dude that everybody is clapping for?" Yep. It was Ray. I could've gotten his autograph, but didn't have anything for him. I've always sort of felt, why get somebody on an index card? I'd rather have a DVD or photo or something, otherwise...I have to be a huge fan to bother for a signature on a scrap of paper.
Ian....I am "old" as well, and grew up wit Harryhausens films! Well worded , he was a legend!
Hi Josh,
At least you did get to meet Ray Harryhausen, and that is a good thing! I still have never been to a California Comic Con before, and hope to do that one year! I bet you had a great time!
