Based on the advice of most of the people I've asked, eBay seems to be the worst place to buy a Jeter. Steiner sells authentic ones but they're like $516, is it worth the money or is there anyplace that sells authentic autographs for a little bit cheaper?

What are looking for ? A baseball on the sweetspot or photo ,bat, etc. Also ebay isnt that bad f you know what you are looking for. You can find one cheaper than that , that isnt a forgery . There are a ton of dealers who sell authentic Jeter autographs.

Some dealers buy steiner material after it's first run, at sizeable discounts, some of which are passed down to buyers.
The long and the short of it is that you are likely buy a jeter from steiner for much less if you wait.

Thanks for the advice guys.  Anthony- Yes, I'm looking for a sweetspot ball but I think Jeter only signs sweetspots for Steiner since he has a contract with it.  John- Do you think I should wait after the holidays or like months?

Yeah he pretty much does. Thats why I was asking. I have one psa'd Jeter sweetspot ball I got from him at the yankees luncheon. He does sweetsport there. Cause its like $500 a ticket and $10 grand a table.

At spring training he sweetspots here and there . Id say 1 in every 100 baseballs he signs. During the season its all side panels.

Same story here Travis, only 5 years ago with me. I gave 1000 for the same picture. Gatorade Slam Dunk contest photo from UD. I wanted a Jordan, never plan to sell, wanted to admire the real thing the rest of my life. I frequently buy from Steiner. I have a game used 2nd base, game used ball, several others all signed by Jeter. I have bought from the same person for 10 years or so. He does work with me on the price. Although still much more expensive than Ebay.

Cool picture! Mine was a side view with Jordan jumping from the top of the key. I thought we had the same one.
