Tom Laughlin and Delores Taylor talk about "Billy Jack" and sign autographs, for everyone.

On Friday night, July 2, the Cinefamily Theater on Fairfax in L.A., hosted a screening of the 1971 independant film, "Billy Jack" and the 1967 film "The Born Loosers". In attendance, was writer, director and actors, Tom Laughlin and Delores Taylor. Prior to the show, there was an hour long Q&A where so much behind the scenes were discussed by the 79 year old actor and his wife.

Though the discussion session was interesting, and watching both films on the big screen once again was indeed fun, it was the fact that both Tom and Delores signed as many autographs as the crowd asked for, prior to beginning, without any hesitation that thrilled the crowd of about 150. Though Tom Laughlin has a website and does sell autographs (both presigned and what you send him to be signed), he did not go down that road that so many other celeb's choose and instead signed everything for everyone, including posing for pictures. If there was any hesitation, it was only due to the fact that his age and health, made him a bit tired rather quickly. That a side, it was a night of memories, good times, and autographs & autographs!!

It is hard to believe that Tom Laughlin is that old Stephen!

Every so often I really wish I was in Los Angeles more often. This sounds like it was a lot of fun and plus you watched one of my all time favorite movies.
I practiced TaeKwonDo until I was able to take this foot and hit someone on that side of there head standing face to face. That movie had a huge impact on my life.

Tom is, as you can see by the picture, showing some late age. He walks very slow and gets tired quickly. That being said, he loves to talk about the love he has for his wife, is so proud of Billy Jack, and has as sharp of a memory, as men half his age. This is the 3rd time I have seen and spoken to him since October 2008. He really is a talker and is as sharp as a tact.
