Some time ago, I purchased a Steven Spielberg autograph on a 14x11 photograph that was taken during the making of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.  Harrison Ford was also in the photograph.  I asked Eric F at Skyline Signatures to hold the piece for me, and to work on adding Harrison Ford’s autograph to it as well.

One of my greatest weaknesses is that I am very particular about my autograph collection.  I insisted that Harrison Ford autograph the photograph with a blue Sharpie.  After all, Steven Spielberg autographed the photograph with a blue Sharpie, and I wanted the color of the autographs to be consistent.

That was obviously a risky request.  I regretted it a short time later, when Harrison Ford was visiting New York City, and Eric F informed me that he did not have him autograph my photograph because he was signing with a black Sharpie at the time.  You can imagine my anxiety.

I am happy to report that my story ended happily.  Unlike my other regrets associated with our hobby over the years, Eric F was successful in accomplishing my request some time later.  He even supplied me with proof pictures of Harrison Ford autographing my photograph.

My wife and I met Eric F at a coffee shop later that week.  He not only presented me with the beautiful finished product, but also treated us to coffee.

Thank you, Eric F.  The Harrison Ford and Steven Spielberg autographed photograph that you successfully accomplished for me is certainly a favorite piece of my autograph collection.  It was certainly worth the wait.
