I have an amazing collection of Marilyn Monroe autographs, bought ages ago when a sp value was $100. I worked in Hollywood ages ago and go so many of my autographs in person. Strange how stars long ago took the time to sign a photo so you could read it, today it's just a scribble

Classic Hollywood and Stage, Music, SciFi
Why do you collect?
I worked in movies and tv doing hair. It was something to show my friends about the people i worked with. In a way, for a moment, the celebrities attention was on that one item, a slip of paper or photograph, that moment's attention is now retained forever as an autograph
What is your favorite autograph in your collection?
I have 37 Marilyn Monroe autographs. My favorite is a hand written letter Bette Davis wrote for me about making "All About Eve" with MM. I was doing Miss Davis' hair and while under the dryer she wrote the letter to me on her letterhead . Miss Davis saw the MM pics on my station. Miss Davis also signed an autograph for me and doubled up her lip stick on her last cigarette and handed the cigarette butt to me, I still have it.
I also have a coffee cup Joan Crawford drank from. I watched her in a restaurant, every time she sipped the coffee she'd reapply the lipstick, soon the cup was caked, As she left I got her autograph and swipped the coffee cup, still in my postion.
You can ask anyone living or dead for their autograph. Who would it be?
Benjamin Franklin
