Derek Jeter Forged/Signed 1994/1995 Counterfeit Upper Deck Baseball Card: Part 2

I began noticing these obvious forgeries months ago on Ebay, but with Ebay heavily-populated with forgeries, I really didn't think much of exposing them until I began observing them in numbers and that's when I knew I had to expose them.

Immediately below is a link to Part 1 of "Derek Jeter Forged Counterfeit 1994/1995 Upper Deck Baseball Cards."

https://live.autographmagazine.com/profiles/blogs/derek-jeter-forge...

For those who do not know Derek's autograph, I can understand people buying these because of the Upper Deck COA on the back of the card, and unfortunately,  that's what people are purchasing.

They are purchasing the back of the card.

The source of these counterfeit cards picked a card that they knew would sell because of the UD COA on the back of the card.

I have in my possession one of Derek Jeter forged/counterfeit 1994-1995 Upper Deck cards.

The moment I picked it up, I knew immediately it was counterfeit.

The card itself is very rigid (stiff) and heavier.

It is a 100% counterfeit card.

This is serious stuff.

One seller has sold at least two dozen of these forged Derek Jeter counterfeit cards.

Make no mistake; these are counterfeit cards.

Please note also that I am investigating other forged/counterfeit cards.

The source was clever enough to counterfeit cards that have the COA on the reverse of the cards.

These are obvious forged/counterfeit cards.  More on this card at a later date.

I will be posting a blog on the below "Koufax" cards also in the very near future.

Just a quick note on the reverse of the Sandy Koufax 2000 SP Authentic counterfeit.  Immediately below is an example of a counterfeit.

Observe how close the "Sandy Koufax" is to the outside border.

Bingo!!!

Before we continue on with the forged/counterfeit Jeter 1995 Upper Deck card, just a quick note below on the Koufax forged/counterfeit 2000 SP Authentic cards.

Not only are the forgeries laughable, observe the back of the card...

Counterfeit!!!

Getting back to the Derek Jeter forged counterfeit cards...

Immediately below are both cards:  The forged counterfeit Derek Jeter card and the authentic Derek Jeter signed card.

The one on the left is the forged counterfeit and the one on the right the authentic autographed card.

t.

This is the back of both cards. The counterfeit is on the right.d

Here are graphic comparisons of the two cards.

1.  The holograms on the front of the cards.

2.  The holograms on the back of the cards.

3.  Professional Baseball Logo.

4.  Back Of The Card Micro Comparisons.

5.  And, of course, the front of card where it reads "Derek Jeter."

Observe the obvious bouncing of the letters in "Derek" and, of course, the raised "R" in Jeter.

Looking at all of the above comparisons, the differences are glaring!!!

Observe the fuzziness on the counterfeit cards....

d

I am certain they are collectors out there who own this forged Derek Jeter counterfeit card, and I can only hope they find this blog and take action.

Now you know how to avoid them.

awesome job on this Christopher.  It's amazing how easy it is to spot the fake when compared side by side, but stand alone, very different story.  Your keen eye on spotting Jeter forgeries is what brought this to light. that signature would have fooled a majority of the collectors out there. Well done!

Thank you, Tony.

The word has to get relayed to collectors who may own the worthless and forged counterfeit card.

Hopefully it will

Does the 10-04 on the UD Hologram on the back of the fake mean Oct. 2004? I just checked a 1993 card, it was tough to tell, but it look like it had 93 for the bottom number. So is he taking those holograms off random UD cards?

Nice work picking one up and for doing the comparisons. Hopefully, it prevents people from getting ripped off.

Our leader Mr. Cyrkin thinks (and I agree with him) that the source probably scanned an original card at a low DPI to try to emulate it.

Please note also that I have not seen another forged Derek Jeter counterfeit card since i posted Part 1.

The Ebay sellers who were listing and selling them like they were coming off an assembly line, stopped listing them.

Check out this forged Sandy Koufax.

Below is an image which contains the reverse of the cards.

The one on the left is the authentic card, and the one on the right is the counterfeit card.

Observe the spacing on the left side between the border and "Sandy Koufax."

You can click your mouse on the image to get a closer view.

Check out the below YouTube video.  At the 1:18 mark they show the forged/counterfeit card.

In my opinion, it is no coincidence that the primary Ebay sellers of the Derek Jeter and Sandy Koufax forged/counterfeit cards have not listed any since my blogs were posted.

Not a surprise. They are laying low until it dies down... then they'll be selling more. The only way they are going to walk away from easy cash is when they are doing a perp walk into court.
