What are your thoughts on this album?  The Page and Plant look off to me but its supposedly been authenticated by a very respectable authenticator as real.  Thoughts?

This looks very real to me,

As someone once said to me, "That's either real or a damn good forgery."

I think this is okay- Roger is terrific with Zep, for what you'll pay for this, Id verify that this is not a known forgery style.

I'd definitely get Roger on it before you buy it. I'm not comfortable with it.

Looks good to me.

The Robert Plant is what caught my eye here right off: most of all that the loop should end with a bump and a sharp upstroke. This one has no bump, going right to an upstroke and ending horizontally.

What you pointed out Steve is exactly what I was wondering about too.  That characteristic is lacking on the signature on this album.  Also the Page just looks weird to me as well for some reason.

If you're interested in it, ask Roger about your concerns. If any signing styles have recently changed he'd know. I don't know when this was signed, tho.

I'm suspicious of it. looking at loops in JPJ and JP, might be same hand.

its for sale by RR and will have been checked by Roger already

Saw that, still wonder about it.

Steve brings a valid question to the table, i dont collect zep, but im interested in following the thread.

Pardon mt .02 cents, but speaking generally, of many houses, mistakes are made and...many...questions can lead to no harm. Sometimes even positive clarification. I have seen similar and asked such questions and the item was pulled/I had had authenticators change their minds more than once with additional date presented, Can't hurt. What's with everything so vague...thees days what is "Fine'? Can you rely on descriptions & condition reports that are 1 sentence if that? Read that small print? Does anyone care about the condition of the reverse or if it a lab photo? Contrast? Permanent? I try to address all in my offerings. If I wouldn't sell it if I would not buy it for me This of it a "prescreening" serice for for my customer. PPC has a Bowie for $1200 Iife out as a RR item (who correctly mentioned "pc print)at $300 or so- earlier in the year close to Mr. Jones demise - a low quality PC print - very low res on thin paper. Now, at PPC $1200 with PSA as an "8x10 color photograph". But, not a lab photo. Should never garner over lab photo value. Is it authentic? Yes. Nice -NO.
