I am sure they got a huge discount of sending in large qty of items. Beckett in turn gets an eBay powerseller plastering becketts name all over eBay. Win/win.

Rich, did you read it as the owner of Press Pass authenticating for Beckett? I don't think that's what they meant.

Steve, after rereading it, I actually think it does sound that way. I read it first as if PPC was going to use Beckett exclusive, but the hashtag and use of the word roster and singling out Kyle Bell it sounds like HE is joining Beckett to authenticate...

Actually not really. The affiliation just proves that they have an "in" with this new authenticator. Money talks.

Presspass has done business I believe almost exclusively with PSA/DNA. We've talked a lot about Presspass and their cozy relationship with PSA. Now apparently that cozy relationship is switching to Beckett. So I'm guessing Steve Grad was Presspass's main contact at PSA, and Grad probably got them to switch.
So the question still is: does a major TPA mostly just rubber stamp their approval of the submissions of a big-time client, or does the TPA truly "thoroughly examine" each piece?

i belive its just a stamp. its a quid pro quo. there a money aragement.

basicaly if they they got them in person its just them writing out the coa and its a done deal,

theres too much cross pollination going on.

By the sounds of previous discussions they just are stamped.
Steve please feel free to fix the thread up, ive been taking care of my 3 year ild and my mind is rattled

I think it's pretty easy to follow, Paul. Don't worry about it.

I heard back from Steve Grad: Kyle Bell is not authenticating for Beckett.

Also iconic auctions are using beckett, press pass and roll of the dice autographs for sale will be next.
