Hi all!

After opinions on this, it has been authenticated by authenticateit.co.uk and was originally sold by piece of the past.

What do you all think?

Are there any reputable authenticators that I could pay to authenticate before purchasing? Who would be %100 sure on whether it was genuine or not?
It is all opinions unless you see it yourself signed. You could try Beckett, not sure if they have a quick opinion feature. I also don't know if Roger Epperson is good on Amy either...

As I said, with something so easily forged like this you are going to either have to trust the source or trust someone elses opinion. I would want something more concrete and buy from someone who is known to be reputable at least for something like this, that is just my opinion as a fellow collector. Best of luck.

are uou saying t easy to forge because there are only 3 letters or because her style signature is basic?

I'll say one thing and leave it at this: I have learned to be very wary of autographs from Piece of the Past.

Other people may feel differently, but that is how I feel.
I have sent payment for an opinion to roger, hopefully he can give me his professional opinion before I pay!

There is enough info here for me to pass. YMMV.

I never got Amy inperson, barely even looked at her graphs before today, just from Steve's post of authenticated pieces, and a simple comparison, the proper flow is present in all the samples Steve pulled.

The sample you started this post with, does not have that flow, and certainly doesn't match the authenticated samples.

I would be running in the opposite direction.

Fair enough, although there are plenty other examples that look different even to those shown, but, I'm getting the impression people don't think this is genuine, so looks like I'll be passing, thought I'd finally found one then! :-(

What is the asking price? That often says something.

The asking price is one I would expect for a genuine Amy, been asking around and a guy who Met her many times before her untimely death and saw her sign many things is sure it's genuine, just waiting on roger now!
I now have 3 different people with experience in her sig confirming they believe it to be genuine. I understand the rep piece of the past has got on here, and thanks for your warnings! I'll await rogers opinion!

Hi,

What changed in the last 35 minutes? You went from "...looks like I'll be passing..." to "...I have 3 different people..."?

The signature still appears problematic. Be sure your desire doesn't cloud your eye. That is my advice.
