Hi Everyone,
I would really appreciate if any of you could give me your thoughts on the authenticity of this vintage letter signed by Joan Crawford.
I'm slightly worried about the fact that there isn't any feedback on where this letter comes from, or how it was acquired.
Many many thanks!
Cris :)

I think this one is genuine. Here is a good signature study on Joan.
Thanks Joe! You are too generous :)
I think it might be a sec : /
Compare it to the mid sixties example. Especially how she underlined it. Matches well. I think the secretarial signatures are more embellished. Not sure if they would sign simply "Joan". I could be wrong but I believe Joan signed this.
I hope you are right
I've just come across this website that shows many letters Joan wrote throughout the decades, and if you scroll down to the 60s, she does correspond quite a lot with this "Jay" and "Mrs. Jensen" (who I believe is his mother). If you want, have a look: http://www.joancrawfordbest.com/letters.htm
Joan hasn't been on my radar for a long time now but I have seen and owned a number of them over the years. I think secretarial signatures were more apt to be on signed photos. There are many signed letters with her and it comes down to content and first name versus full signatures when it comes to value. This letter is typical and has just her first name. That is why interest in this particular one may be to your advantage. $50 to $100 range is what it is probably worth in today's market.
She hasn't been on my radar for long either! But after watching "Feud: Bette and Joan" I've become interested in collecting hers and Bette Davis' autographs. However, I haven't really had time to study any of them fully.
This letter so far looks okay, but I'm still afraid that the signature could be traced, or that the letter could have been forged in some way, and stuff like that.
JMO, I wouldn't have a problem with it whatsoever.
Secretarial to me - last at theCead. That "a" higher than the "o" yet again...
That letter site appears to have secretarials. 12.29.75. Compare OP with cead 1964, cead last secretarial and 12.29.75 letter at site linked above.
