I will do tomorrow as going bed now all the best

Your comparisons really show that something is wrong here, Adam. I think that one set is clearly a machine-signed variation of the other, or they're both machine-signed.

Which one is the original? Is one the original? If one has long-term verifiable provenance, that would help identify it. As would seeing it in person.

  1. Both signatures on pairs are remarkably similar to the ones on the other pair. Ballroom didn't have to go digging to find the a similar Harrison on one piece and a similar Lennon on the other.
  2. The "John" on one is identical to the John on the other, except that the connection from the J to the O is different, and the N of the one on green paper is tilted downwards, opening space between the H and the N.
  3. The "Lennon" on one is also very similar to the other besides spacing, angles, etc. These are all easily altered by machine.
  4. There are similar things with the Georges. The downstrokes of each G are remarkably similar to each other, yet the upstrokes differ. The H on each is very close, but crossed lower on one. Most of the letters are close but no cigar.

I don't know which one is authentically signed, or if either one is. George's autograph on green looks more real to me than the one on pink, but I don't like the way the N ends.

On John's, I prefer the John on pink and the Lennon on Green.

If one or both of these are machine-signed, there could be versions with other matches, solo Lennons and Harrisons, one or both could appear with Paul and Ringo on other pieces...all sorts of variations are possible.

As I wrote the reply above, I went from thinking one is a near copy of the other to thinking neither may be the original. Just don't know. But I edited the beginning of my reply to make it more in line with my conclusions.

My reply starting "Your comparisons really show that something is wrong here" was to Adam. It took me so long to write my reply that other people commented first.

Adam...great job.

Thanks Steve, but honestly I am continuously impressed with Ballroom and how fast he is to notice and find the simalirities in his files. He is my authenticating idol! Haha.

All this is just another reason we need this site!

Ballroom is AMAZING. We may see Jerry Lee Lewis slightly differently, but he's a top go-to for me on a lot of classic rock.

Oh I agree with him on JLL:) hahaha!

Lord, they have eyes, but cannot see....

There are none so blind as those who will not see.

Ha ha. Thanks, and good job. :)

anyone know who manufacturers these signing machines?

if I were just comparing the signatures as presented by Adam, it would be the one on pink that I would be questioning.  look at the second g in George.  it looks slowly written at the bottom, vs the cut. Again, just comparing the two as presented with no knowledge of the background of either.
