wow thanks! one can really sense the uneasyness of those letters. Yeah I can imagine that this was the writing of him. It is really interesting to see hmm..makes me think!Wow so that means that all those signatures I saw on Ebay are Fake and also others that I saw on other sites for example ioffer..but Mr. Innuendo also warned me that this site is also dubious a bit.:)..i sure woud like to posses one day a Ray Charles signature..but wow those must be very expensive..cause i searched on many websites and I coud not find or I did not see one as this one..hmm makes one think really heh

Certainly the one at the top is a complete fake and 99.9% on ebay are fake also. Take into account several other things like what is supporting the item whilst Ray signs (if it can even be described as an autograph) plus how rushed is he. It would be hard enough for his autograph to be in anyway consistent from one autograph to the next anyway but other factors would determine how clear it would be.

how did you meet Paul out of interest?

He started an online retro clothing business with my wife a few years ago. Over the time we became friends also and found out we had a common interest in similar music and of course he had sone great stories of meeting many of the performers I like. He also was went to school in Aston with two of my fav all time Rock idols and was in the same class as one of the greatest Rock guitarists of all time. So we had a lot in common. When he decided to catalog and sell some of his collection from that period it was a perfect project for me as I know lots about the live music scene in this city through the decades

Why does it look like a stamp?

The signed photo below the signed program is in a book by Ray Charles's European tour manager in the 1960s. It was signed for him by Ray.

What date do you believe he signed these?

The program, 1962 for sure. The photo, mid-late in the 60s prob but I'd have to check the book to be sure. One of our members posted it.

Okay so no exact detail. Do we know if he had plenty of time to take them or was rushed. IF they are genuine they look rather rushed to me or perhaps he didn't have a proper surface underneath to support the items whilst doing the autograph. Do you know any detail about how these where taken or is your thoughts on them just based on face value/look only from the post on here?

Hi Steve, can you provide me with author's name and title? Thanks.

Hi Bob,

Bjarne's the one who brought the book to our attention. Reply to this comment and ask him:

Why do you consider these real? What surface was he signing these on? what was under the items when he signed. Were they done in a big crowd or quietly? indoors at a venue or outdoors?
