BEWARE !! Three U.K EBAY sellers dominating market selling FAKES

I'd like to bring to your attention these 3 sellers in the hope that something can be done in the autograph community to stop them from selling fakes on EBay.They are:

maconstance2012

mayflowersteps

bound4u0

I believe they are all linked and were also selling items through Simon Parrs auctions. Just look at the list of items they are selling between them,is there anyone famous they've missed ? I believe they are using some kind of Robotic machine to create these autographs. To anyone who knows anything about autographs many of these are blatant forgeries, the problem is they all have 100% feedback !! A Princess Diana signed pic which sold for over £500 last week through maconstance2012 had previously not sold on Simon Parr's auction.

These people should be locked up,but what can we all do about it ?

even worse , a signed photo of diana , which looked suspiciously like one offered by simon parr was being offered by a top auction house over here;- in the end it got withdrawn

In my professional authenticating experience, I have seen a number of "machine signed" examples over the past few years. Neil Armstrong, Apollo 11 and others. These were NOT NASA issued Autopens, rather I believe they were unauthorized and created maliciously.

Thanks for your replies. I've attached some images from all three which are current listings. In the past week they've sold 3 Churchills,a George Washington and a Benjamin Franklin !! Its a conveyor belt and people are jumping on it !

Thanks for sharing here.

Thats a good start.

....all three accounts mentioned are cleaned at the moment!

Hi,

Yes they've all disappeared ! I don't know if someone in the powers to be has seen this thread and suspended them or it's just a coincidence. Thanks for informing me, its great news.

Update: Two of them are back on but only selling books now, excellent.

Have you ever heard the name Simon Parr? A "reputable" seller which was suspended nearly everywhere! I'm wondering that no one in the autograph community had the balls to bring such a seller to charge. Btw. such sellers you find in US in a big number. End of last year a wellknown and reputable seller offered and sold a Beatles set with 3 genuine autographs and a Lennon sig which was a fake! This set was offered first by a serious and wellknown seller and Beatles expert from UK adding in his description that the Lennon sig wasn't written by John Lennon! During the flight of approx. 8 h from UK to US the fake changed to genuine and was offered as set with 4 real and authentic autographs! Sorry, the name of this seller is undesirable to write here!

It's a coincidence...;-))

This is one of Parr's eBay accounts - but he has had others (or she).

https://contact.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ReturnUserIdHistory&r...

As you can see if you go to his feedback - he buys from different sites that state their items are copies of authentic works.... like this seller.  https://www.ebay.com/sch/davide2121davide/m.html?_trksid=p3692

He then labels them "authentic" in his auctions.

He's also sold copies of authentic signatures that have been somehow reproduced perfectly on other items.  A member here was able to show that he copied an authentic highly sought after baseball great's auto onto a piece of material, and had it for sale.

He's been reported to UK Trading standards numerous times.  If you can show Trading standards via an email an item that is reproduced, they will make him pull it (its been done by members of our forum- I personally have not dealt with them).  They have quite a file on him.  No idea why they don't act on him with charges of fraud/theft etc.  Trading Standards contact via email is.  mark.duffy@northtyneside.gov.uk

Parr also now goes by the name of Kristen Leigh Auctions in the UK.

I'm not sure if the ebay accounts you listed are related to him, but its possible.

He often marks items "sold" in his auctions only to have them for sale later in another auction at a different site.  Usually after he's tried to shill the item up in price.

He's a real piece of work.

Nice post wascher

OH MY !!!

He/She has a bunch of Pablo Picasso and Andy Warhol's (among other famous artist's) for start bids of approx. $30

A little confusing as this is stated;

it is an drawn work and not a litho or print of any kind .

And then under this is this:

is declared as a copy, in the manner of the author, reproduction, in accordance with the rules of ebay.

What is going on here?

The plot thickens,I believe there is another piece to the jigsaw.

There is a seller called : Autographus

https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/autographus/m.html?item=152740564303&...

who appears to be the same person as Mayflowersteps also posts from Plymouth,Devon. On this account they sell fake sketches that have been purchased using the other account. They are mainly items sold as 'in the style of' and never sold as genuine, but then appear on the Autographus listings as authentic.

Here are the other 3 original sites for people to monitor:
