Lot of Michael Jackson signatures... real or fake? (Forger Erick Oswaldo McKay, Erick Mckay Burgos) marc-at2014, always-4-fun, bluelifesaver, disneycolector eBay names

Hope I'm asking this in the right section...
I've recently bumped into this person's little collection of MJ sigs...

My concern is that all those sigs look too similar... I'm thinking they're signed by the same person, but I'm stumped as to if they're really Michael.

Thank you for any opinions/help in advance.

MODERATOR NOTE:  All of Erick McKay Burgos' art folders on Deviant Art have been removed by him after being outted here.  They were screen captured before his removal and are listed below.   Please use them to reference as you read through this thread.

Update on the PressPass McCartney (Erick McKay forgery).  A member of AML contacted Beckett to let them know this was a McKay piece, unfortunately after 4 days, it still remained on PressPasses site and nothing was done.

Last night I decided to go on eBay and use the "Contact Seller" area of PressPasses listing, and notified them this was a McKay piece, and gave them a link to the discussion on it.  It was removed within an hour or two.  Here was their listing to show the seller pulled it.  https://www.ebay.com/itm/401460868013

Thanks PP-appreciate it!

Unfortunately, it’s available again on eBay from seller rodneybeans.

I made the mistake of purchasing this Beckett certified McCartney item on eBay, and after seeing this thread see that this is not genuine I cancelled the order about five hours after payment. Seller had messaged me earlier in the day saying they would ship on Friday morning. But when I sent a cancellation request, he responded that he already had his wife ship it (still no tracking) certified mail. I called eBay and they said to inspect item to make sure it is not real/real. Is there any advice or support you guys could offer to show this violates eBay’s buyer protection policy? Should be similar to any fake handbag or counterfeit item out there, but the seller is adamantly using the NO RETURNS. Thanks for the help!

eBay wasn’t much help, unfortunately. Have you tried to contact Beckett to see what they would suggest?

If this has already been brought to Beckett's attention and nothing was done, that is not going to help me in getting my money back from Ebay. The item is not in my possession yet, but Ebay customer service assured me that if the item seemed not genuine (and was and is not a case of buyer's remorse) then I am protected through ebay's buyer protection policy. I had originally planned to not sign for the package (since signature is required to receive), but Ebay said I needed to inspect the item first. There is plenty of feedback here showing this item is not genuine, but the seller will likely just say Beckett says it is real (and has not and will not take it down). We have plenty of tracing back to show this is no good, but voiced my authenticity concerns right away with seller, which prompted them to ship right away. But the item falls right under "not as described" as it was not hand signed by Paul McCartney.

Inspecting it in person isn’t going to change your opinion. I thought you might want to at least give contacting Beckett a try since you purchased the item. You might get a different response than someone who’s simply reporting an item they don’t believe is authentic.

I will reach out to them and see what they say. Thanks!

Stephen B, A seller’s No Returns policy usually doesn’t carry that much weight actually, particularly if you can show that the “item is not as described.”  Many, if not most, sellers have such a policy, but most sellers also know that said policy will not always hold up.  It’s like driving behind a dump truck which has a sign saying, “not responsible for damages to your vehicle.”  That won’t sway a courtroom all the time...if ever.  I think sellers usually try to use NR policy as a front-line defense that will intimidate some buyers into not making a claim.

The seller is obviously going to use the BAS LOA as “proof” the item is authentic.  But you can point out the the LOA is simply an opinion of authenticity which you no longer believe due to further research you’ve conducted.  Point out that TPA’s make mistakes all the time.  I think your belief that the item is not real will validate the “item not as described” claim.  My guess is that ebay will side with you.

I would also point out that you tried to nip this situation in the bud by asking the seller to cancel the sale prior to shipment but that the buyer says he had already shipped the item...and you believe he is not being truthful about this.  Good luck.

Thank you James. This is the route I was/am going to take. There is enough proof even on this discussion board to cast reasonable doubt on the authenticity even with a COA from Beckett. And the seller telling me that he wouldn’t ship until Friday and then saying they already shipped as soon as I asked (I asked around 1pm Wednesday and actual tracking shows in Usps possession at 4pm), there is enough evidence that he was trying to “dump” this and had behind “no returns” policy.
