We now have a Musician-Direct Autograph Sales Forum where you can post individual discussions of new offerings. It's a big change—and a big improvement. We closed this discussion after 8 years but it will always be available to read.

The new system has been in place for 2 months now and it's working well.

This video shows you how easy the new forum is to use.

You can follow the forum and be notified of new signings exclusively! And you can enter a musician's name in the forum's search box and find any discussions about them.

Be sure to click the Follow link at the bottom of the list of discussions.

Try it...I think you'll like it.

Though I recall a member posting a blog asking about this a while ago, I could not relocate it for my purpose in this discussion.

It can be nice when one stumbles upon a musician's shop (via their website), to see that they are selling their autographs. I figured this could grow as a wee database for listing those musicians who partake in this.

I recently recieved a couple press photos signed in ballpoint from John Mayall's website (http://www.johnmayall.com/merch.html). I am also aware that you can purchase signed CDs from Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits(http://peternoone.com/store/). John 5 ( formerly Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie guitarist) sells various items signed, with an option to dedicate.

So, does anyone else know of this being done by other musicians?

I just got my signed orchesteral tommy cd from record store UK. It came sealed

img126.jpg   Also got mine today as well.  Same thing with it being sealed.

Yungblud vinyl was briefly for sale on sale on Music Record Shop, but appears to have already sold out. FYI: these signed vinyl records are available at the merch stand on his tour as well.

Musician-Direct Autograph Sales is now it's own forum!

From now on, post every sale as its own discussion instead of posting it as a reply to this discussion.

Please post a discussion or let Rich or me know if things aren't working as well as you'd like. Thanks

Hi all,

We now have an entire forum for direct-from-artist sales. It's called Musician-Direct Autograph Sales. This discussion is in it, but from now on, start a new discussion for each offering. You can follow the forum and be notified of every new discussion, but not get any comments in that discussion unless you follow it.

This way you can be notified of every new offering without having to get a ton of emails that you may not want.

Here's the forum: https://live.autographmagazine.com/forum/categories/musician-direct...

I hope you like it!

Okay, I'm totally confused. How does this work now?

Will people NOT be posting on here, about different places selling signed CDs anymore? I think it was a lot easier, having THIS thread, to read all that, not going into individual ones.

People were complaining about emails that weren't specifically about new pre-orders (i.e. were instead about product updates, concerns over delivery, authenticity, etc). A couple solutions were tossed around, but ultimately Steve went with this. Granted it might not be everyone's preference, but there was clearly no way to give everyone exactly what they wanted.

Yeah, i don't like the new way. You have to CREATE a new discussion instead of just adding a quick comment and link to this thread. It's a bit of a hassle so i just don't do it anymore. It seems like a lot of people have just stopped adding items altogether since the change.
