We live in the land of the free. If one does not like the price don't buy it. The wonderful thing the Internet has done is greatly expand our choices. But, as in all things, we need to educate ourselves a bit to get the best out of the experience. And opportunities.
This discussion was created more than two years ago. I did not even see it until today, when it was resurected by James McCay. James, why did you decide to post a reply in this discussion after more than two years? Has something happened recently that you are concerned about?
Sorry I missed that, Mike, and apologize to further exacerbate!
No need to apologize. I am just curious.
"...“It is not because of the benevolence of the butcher, baker and brewer that we are able to eat and drink. Rather, it is because they act in accordance with their own best interest.”..."

STAY AWAY. Horribly over-priced and they never negotiate.
I have negotiated with them many times successfully.
I have purchased autographs from them that were expensive. I was willing to spend the money because the signers were either deceased, or the autograph style was no longer available in person. To each his own.
I have purchased some of my very best and toughest signatures and contracts from them and they have always negotiated to a fair and pleasing level. When made aware of secretarials they take them down. I have had no problem with them and their prices are not obligatory - make an offer or pass - it's your prerogative.
Agreed.
