Hello all.  This is up for auction and purportedly the consignee is a former Doors photographer who was given this by Ray Manzarek.  Would highly value opinions!

It looks great to me.

A very nice authentic example.

Which auction ?

Gotta Have Rock & Roll Auction.

When I asked for a letter of provenance or other proof of the piece's history, here is what Gotta Have Rock & Roll said:

"Hi Chris,

The photographer is going to provide a signed letter of provenance to the winning bidder.  He isn’t writing it until it sells because he wants to protect his privacy and only wants the winning bidder to see/have the letter.

Best,

Pam

I’m not sure what to make of the provenance. Ray gave an unsigned copy for the Doors exhibit at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. I’m not sure why he would also have had a signed copy. It’s certainly possible, and the item is authentic.

Jack, Christopher:

I changed the R&R to Rock & Roll so people don't confuse it with RR Auction. But man, that's one of the nicest Morrisons I've ever seen. Whoever wins that will have major bragging rights.

Is this the largest photo there is?

Here's a link.  Minimum $6K bid.  I thought I'd be a bidder but tack another 25% buyers premium on it plus competing bids and I'm afraid it'll be salty.  3 days left on the auction.

The book needs restoration and I agree with Ballroom I'm not sure of what to make of the provenance also!

Thanks, Christopher
