This is the 4th "fake" Audrey Hepburn autograph I have purchased this year. So far I have been refunded 3xs -

This one is from Invaluable, which offers their own "professional expert" COA - I sent to JSA and they immediately recognized it was from a secretary as it took 3 days to get the response via USPS.

The issue is I have is that I have found that these auction companies offer their COAs, but they aren't worth the paper they are printed on. It seems to me that they figure most ppl will not send to JSA or PSA to verify. I understand ppl have had issues with both companies but I defer to their expertise vs my own.

Even though I am a serious collector of all things Audrey - I still have trouble discerning fake autographs vs her real signature, so I have to rely on JSA or PSA.

Yes, that is not Audrey's signature. I had the pleasure of having wine with her at a table for two in about 1990. She has a very specific style in her later years that is hard to imitate. How can I help?

You might well be better off relying on the cumulative eyes here - and they are free... :)

Well I have have tried that and got mixed messages as in "yes it is real" and "no it is fake" -The reason why I posted was to hopefully help anyone who may purchase from Invaluable -

Thank your for the response -
David

I've sent a friend request - I am happy to help you find a genuine example.

Thanks Eric - I will be sure to ask for your help in the future!

You are most welcome. I tried to find the thread but can't - I helped another member whose name now escapes me to get a Hepburn for a very low price indeed.

Here it is David - his name is Cris.

with all due respect invalubles isn't a auction house its a search engine that host auction companies. always do ur own research with them liveauctionneers jasper 52 and many more like them

+1

+1  Invaluable has been involved in some pretty shady auctions in the past.  I would rely much more on what people here had to say.

Invaluable, liveauctioneers and proxibid are not considered “search engines” but rather software portals offering online auction hosting capabilities.  You are correct that each of these sites has different rules for the auction houses and ultimately, you need to underwrite the integrity of the individual auction houses. Some maintain the highest ethical standards and have built a strong reputation. Others make a business of selling fraudulent items.

As Eric points out, make effective use of the great resources available here.  Noted experts and the price is right!

Not to show off - but I have 7 that are authenticated by JSA or PSA - Of course I am an avid collector of her, and have my shares of fails, but success as well -

The "A" and "H" are different  - She always seemed to connect the "A". The "H" was different at times but not like the one you have - I am no expert but those seem pretty glaring to me.
