I have this 1950`s Elvis Presley autograph RCA promotional photo,  how rare is this promo photo?  I have never seen this promotional RCA photo anywhere.  Thanks for your help.

I agree completely with Steve Z.   If it is cut then it destroys the historical integrity of the item.  If I collected I music autographs I would be happy to own this.   Being only a couple months older than the inscription I have a few creases, and my emulsion is not what it used to be either.  If you wanted it framed part of missing area could be matted out while not touching the original.

@Scott Paul - Agree - I'm shocked an Elvis signed photo with a nice dark signature and lots of writing would not be considered desirable -- even if the photo itself was rough. It's not like it's a signature that's common, inexpensive and easily found in mint condition.

It's still in one piece and presentable enough in my opinion. I would never cut up a photo unless there was significant water damage or something else that made it completely un-presentable.

It is awesome and desirable. The condition naturally hurts value but this is still quite beautiful. The King at his peak is a wonderful thing.

Thanks guys, i won`t cut it up, because i will also lose the stamping of Rca Victor on the reverse, which i hardly seen before on other autographs. Thank-you for your opinions, greatly appreciated.

NOOOOOO

Don't cut it in any way!!

No i won`t Roger.

Like Steve suggested I would look into having it dry mounted on a acid free foam board. I am not sure if that hurts the value anymore then it already does,Ive had some photo's come to me recently in shipping where it had pretty good sized pinches and creases in them.I took them to get dry mounted and they look just about perfect now and can not even notice the creasing.

Thanks Tony.

I am just wondering...

Since JAKE JONES turned out to sell fake Elvis autographs on eBay... (as you can see here)

Was this autograph a fake as well?
