Tom Kramer suggested it is in French but I don't know. Its strange - she is never this bold and now that she is I can't read it beyond what appears "Sincerely" and what seems "Hughes" LOL

I think the third word is “wishes.”

Pardon but what are we calling the third word? On which line? Sorry :(

Third across the top. Looks like it may be "Wis [break] hes"

I also believe "Sincerely" is the second line.

[?] [?] wishes (?)

Sincerely,

Thank you Steve. :)

Thrilled to report this late 1949 photograph was taken by Angus McBean.

Anyone else?

I agree that it’s Hughes but as a first name, and possibly the words ‘Much my love’ in front of the name, or similar inscription.  Stared at it a lot and looked at eBay at some letters and postcards that are to be her writing, looking for any similarities.  Not a whole lot found, other that the same style H beginning Hughes.  Nothing though with a similar h if the word Much is correct.  I think she would have dotted the i if it was Miss.
