"Rod Serling: Submitted for Your Approval" -- Any Thoughts as to Authenticity of this Rod Serling Signature?

Hello All:

I am relatively new to the site and this is my first attempt at posting, but I have collected autographs of people I admire from all walks of life since I was a small child in the early 1960's.  Between going to Spring Training in Mesa, AZ each year for baseball autographs, and growing up in Los Angeles, where it was not uncommon to see celebrities going about their daily routines and politely ask them for their autograph, I have a relatively small, yet very treasured collection.  As an adult, I was fortunate enough to be involved in the music business as a radio host in LA for 30 years, which gave me access to more stars then I would have ever imagined, so my collection grew from mostly sports to lots of recording artists and standout personalities in the music business.  Enough of my ramblings down Memory Lane.

I've been hunting for years for a Rod Serling signature, but the market prices I've generally seen are beyond my pocketbook these days.  I came across the example below at the site www.autographcentral.net  I am aware that some in the community have posted warnings before about this site, but from my admittedly very amateur comparisons of other examples of Mr. Serling's autograph, I couldn't easily tell if this was "real" or "bogus"?  If anyone can steer me in the right direction before I hit the "purchase" button for this (or otherwise keep my wallet closed), I would be very thankful for any and all input.

Everything I looked at there was bad.

Thanks so much for the quick reply Eric - much appreciated!  It's wonderful to have this site and be able to tap the aggregate knowledge of so many dedicated collectors and their collective experience.  I suppose perhaps the only thing "good" about www.autographcentral.net were some of it's price points, but that was really what made me most suspicious about this signature.  I immediately got that "you get what you pay for" feeling.  Again, glad to have your input!

My pleasure to help. :)
