FYI, in Real Autograph Collectors Club group on Facebook a person posted that Beckett and PSA are saying the Elton John signed CD single art card from the UK is not authentic. There is debate on how many he signed, may have been signed by others or used autopen.
Here is link to the discussion over there https://www.facebook.com/groups/955090951189857?multi_permalinks=47...

Keep in mind that until this 'Cold Heart' release, getting Elton's autograph from an official source was incredibly expensive (there is a 5K print available on his website, and has been sitting there for a few years now)

So it was obvious that for 99p we were not going to get his best signature, but in terms of provenance this is as good as it gets. As long as you got one to add it to your collection and not resell, you should really not care about what PSA say.
Certs from PSA, JSA, Beckett etc mean next to nothing... I used to submit things to them all the time in the early 2010s and I had dozens of autos (all of which were signed in front of me) not pass their authentication process. It's all BS.
Here is a photo of a hand signed CD from my collection from Elton John. This was limited and given out to people at a viewing party hosted by Elton in West Hollywood. The people in attendance, each table had 2 books and this autographed CD at their reserved seat at the table.
I noticed that many of the new cards had the "E" more distinct than his traditional "L". Authenticating could be an issue. Mine--in person--from 1982 has the "L".
Yes, all the signed CDs are fake, so I will give you your money back.
I have just made the mistake of looking on ebay and if I was Elton I would burst into tears at all the people trying to cash in . Somone has 4 copies for sale. I am surprised that any stars sign any more
They don't do it out of the goodness of their hearts, the stars have a business motive too. They just sent us a newsletter that Elton is now #1 in the UK, which was clearly the goal of the signed offer. Same reason I suspect that Coldplay only has a US offer of signed albums.
It's now part of the business model. If anything, I would think that the frequency of autopen signatures (justified or not) would have reduced substantially due to the fact that many stars were stuck at home for the better part of a year, and didn't have to deal with tours, travel time or rehearsals.
You can bet that if McCartney wanted another #1 record and doing a couple hours worth of autos (just with initials) would help give him a sales bump, he'd absolutely do it.
First pics of signed Dua Lipa have shown up, there's now also talk about those being not authentic.
I don't know what to believe, maybe some people are sour they missed out on this UK-only offer.
