Hi,

Can someone tell me their opinion of this Eric Clapton signed item? Based on the sellers other auctions and my limited knowledge I thought this looked good, but it failed Beckett Quick Opinion.

Thanks,

Danny

Beckett got it right, Not authentic imo

I was using what I saw on his prints for Sound Waves as a baseline and the newer genesis books. Obviously doesn't match examples from 30 years ago (and it shouldn't)

That actually looks good to me and matches some of my in person items.

Thank you very much Richard! I appreciate your time and what you do for the community.

I wish these authentication companies weren't so all over the place based on their reputation.

I don't think it's real, Danny. I'd definitely avoid it.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for your opinion. I thought it looked so similar to the Sound Waves item, which was presumably real. Plus the seller is a charity and sold what looks like a real Ed Sheeran, and some other items that wouldnt be faked.

Do you think the Clapton team provided a secretarial or something along those lines.

Danny

I'm with Steve and the others. It is known Clapton has used secs for TTM/other. Charities, generally speaking, are often foul sources. I like to hear a unanimous "WOW!" not "Huh?" so a better example might be a good idea.

I think it's a forgery. It has a lot of his characteristics but there are some great Clapton forgers.

I just looked at the link and it sold for GBP 67. That says a lot.

Ooooh. Return time.

Thank you for the time.

I knew the price was too good to be true.

Im going to stick to the Genesis Books when it comes to these guys. Can't go wrong there - right?

While not Genesis do keep an eye out for nonsense like this when dealing with books.

Link to preprinted book with varied placements.

Much appreciated.
