How does one know if a print is valuable or not?

That is a huge question.

Here is one of my prints. This is an etching. The Cunarder R.M.S. Lusitania in Liverpool 1914 by Nelson Ethelredge Dawson (1858-1941). It is signed in the plate and initialed in pencil. This is a working copy as he made small adjustments to the composition - there are a few versions of this - this one appears to be unique. The laid paper it is on is a grey and the finial versions were light cream woven.

Keep clicking - it is a very large image:

thats nice and classy Eric.  You must be very pleased with it.  I was really enquiring about Fredhelm Von Estorff prints that I was interested in , -  not quite in the same league as your etching!!

That’s a rather general question ;-).

But I think the most important factors to consider are: how many are made, signed by the artist, numbered and are they selling out quickly. If there are prints (like some from Bob Dylan for example) that are still for sale from the original seller after 10 years, it means they are not extremely valuable or at least not very wanted.

And of course condition must be mint.

thanks Bjorn
