Bob Dylan AUTOPEN Info To Help With Returns / Refunds - Simon & Schuster, Premiere, and Coles

Some users have uncovered potential autopen use within Bob Dylan's expensive art prints. Please check your prints if you own one and post a picture on this thread if you have any concerns.

*UPDATE - Let this be a warning to ALL publishers and celebrities in the future. We are sick and tired of these autopen releases. Our community has had enough and absolutely will not stand for this practice to continue any longer!!!
I want to point out that Coles Books needs to be commended. They made sure to look out for their customers and refused to ship these out if they came from the same S&S stock, which they did. It was also an easy process to cancel orders beforehand if you wished. Coles. on behalf of everyone, I want to thank you for having integrity and watching out for all of us.
I can NOT say the same about Premiere Collectibles. They refused to honor cancelation requests until it was known these books were in fact autopenned. They advertise themselves claiming they are collectors themselves. This is not true. They are a retailer first and only care about your money. There have been other autopen incidents where they absolutely refused to accept blame, stating items were real when they were clearly deemed autopen by the community. Be careful with future purchases with Premiere Collectibles.

I am creating this thread as a comprehensive all in 1 link for returns, refunds, chargebacks and claims made regarding the "signed" edition of Bob Dylan - The Philosophy Of Modern Song. Please use this link to email Simon & Schuster, Coles, and Premiere Collectables as 100% proof these were signed using an autopen machine.
I would like to say right off the bat, Coles Books in the UK is handling this professionally and seem to care deeply about their customer base. They have stated that, once they are in hand, If they find evidence of them being autopenned, they will cancel all orders.. Kudos to Coles.. I wish all retailers would follow their lead. If you wish to cancel your order with them immediately instead of waiting, It seems to be an easy process.

So far, there have been a total of 17 confirmed different templates for the autopen machine used for Bob Dylans signature. I am in the process of creating video comparisons for all 17 sets. Please post full page photos of your item as they are delivered to aid in this process
Here are all 17 templates used by Bob Dylan - I am still looking for full page photos for numbers 8,13 and 15 thru 17 but its still best to post whatever you receive
Be aware when checking against your own copy, it has come to light that they are possibly using 1st and last names interchangeably. Bob in #2 matches perfectly with Bob in #13 while Dylan in both are different

16th variation - Seems to be almost an exact combination of #11 and #13 with a different vertical line in his "D"

Dolly Parton is also guilty of using multiple autopens in the same fashion with multiple templates over the years but with a slight twist where they manipulate the page as the autopen machine writes her signature. If we are looking to stop all future attempts at autopen usage, she needs to be held accountable just as much as Bob Dylan and S&S. Link to threads below

For anybody that may still want his autograph....
As Bob Dylan has now publicly stated on Twitter that his use of autopen was an error in judgement and he would be working with Simon and Schuster and the galleries to rectify that immediately, I just e mailed Jonathan Karp to ask exactly what would Mr Dylan and S&S be doing to rectify the situation and to rebuild some trust with all involved, and whether all customers who ordered a Signed Book, either from Indigo Canada, S&S / Premiere in the USA and Coles Books in the UK would have those orders honoured in some capacity and receive a signed book even if we had to pay X amount for it or a Signed Item ?
I think as many people as possible need to to be asking him the same thing, or at least those who want more than a refund and Twitter apology.

I emailed them as well. As others have stated, I'm also not holding my breath. But they have access to Bob's team and doing so would be beneficial to all parties: we would get what we wanted in the first place while they and Bob further undo negative press

I have emailed as well asking the same questions. I believe people who made previous purchases should receive 1st dibs at obtaining a real autograph or whatever Dylan tries to provide in making this situation right.
Its best that everyone who made a previous purchase, email Jonathan directly and make sure whatever items S&S receive are not just released to the general public

Just remember, after more information has come to light, Jonathan and S&S were almost certainly unaware of Bob Dylan's autopen use, but it does not clear them. As a major publisher, it should be their job to inspect and research every item thoroughly instead of attaching their name to items blindly. try to include a note to let them know they will be held accountable for all autopens released in the future

Jason and everyone involved, I can't think you enough for your passion and hard work on the Dylan Autopens. I couldn't believe Dylan instigated using them himself until I read his statement.
The benefit of your efforts will go far beyond Dylan fans and collectors. They'll make millions more aware of Autopens and how they need to do their homework before they buy. And hopefully Dylan's lesson will be learned by most other celebrities and companies so the fraudulent use of Autopens stops.
I love how members here and of FB forums RACC, Autograph Universe, and others shared info and developments to make as many collectors and dealers aware as possible.

I didn't buy a Dylan book and was getting aggravated with the forum being dominated by comments on the subject but seeing that you all finally got not only a company but also the artist to admit to this fraud makes me agree that it was a great job to all involved. I didn't realize that Bob had put out a statement and just read it, just my opinion but I don't buy it as sincere, the only thing I believe they are sorry for is that they got caught. what kind of idiot would you have to believe it was ok to sell people fakes even with people telling you it was acceptable? I also suffer from severe vertigo and could totally understand why it could make it difficult but if you can't sign them then just don't sell them. and as far as S&S, they are now in the same boat as Premiere Collectables in my book. once you attach your name guaranteeing something is authentic and it's autopen then all past and future COAs become worthless. we know every Dylan signature they sold since 2019 was fake but how do we know how many others were as well? it's getting impossible to trust any of them anymore
