I agree with Eric. If it’s permanently adhered to the signature, that would substantially reduce the value of the item. The signature is definitely below the plastic and not on it. Correct?

I am looking at it against the light and from the side and I cannot appreciate that the Sharpie line is on the plastic, however when I touch it I can slightly feel the relief of the signature.
Shall I try to remove it? I plan to keep it and never sell it.

Absolutely no!
It can only go downhill from here.

So he signed a piece of clear plastic and it was trimmed and attached to the guitar. I wouldn’t suggest trying to remove it. You could end up damaging the signature.

If the autograph is shiny like the plastic then it's on the plastic.

Here are a couple of pics up close. What you perceive is what my eyes can see. Observe the last picture: the dots on the first B are the reflection of the 2 lights of my ceiling.

If you like it and you intend to keep it, then don't worry. It's still a nice item.

There are a lot of vertical striations in the first image. It appears as if something was brushed on under the plastic like a clear coat to act as an adhesive? I can't tell but I know I would return this while you can. Signed on the back, lower end guitar was it mentioned?, and this plastic.
A problem item.
