Here's yet another one.  This is one of my very first autograph buys.  I didn't know anything about buying autographs.  I just knew I loved Mr. Stewart in the movie "The Spirit of St. Louis."  I also knew, if authentic, it might be a kinda historic photo, certainly one worth preserving.  Anyway, when I saw this I just had to have it.  It's an old photograph.

I'd appreciate some feedback on this one as well.  Mr. James Stewart is one of my "All Time favorites!"

Much Thanks,

Patrick Michael.

Unfortunately I don’t have good feelings about the authenticity of the signature. Not what I am used to seeing with Stewart signatures but this might be an old vintage style to which I am not familiar. However, great photo!

Thanks for your reply and input.

Steve Zarelli would be the man to ask.

I believe this is secretary.

Thanks for looking at it Steve.  I'm disappointed.  That is one of my favorite Stewart items.  I'm still not getting rid of it.  I'll frame it and put it in the living room beside my Errol Flynn secretarial.

Yes sir, Mr. Stewart is really one of my all-time favorites.  I probably have half a dozen.  The rest have been authenticated.  That's the only one that isn't.  If I remember correctly, it was that photo that really sparked my interest in autographs collecting, somewhat of a mixed blessing thus far.  but I still love it!

Thanks again,

Patrick (Mike) Bratcher

I'm sorry it is not authentic.

Thanks for the condolenes about the Stewart.  It's been a bit of a rough week.  Lost 3 biggies in rapid disorder.   You know what they say, Into every life a little rain must fall. I'll survive.

One thing I am gonna do is some research on a couple of great books about authenticating  autographs. I'm getting a bit tired of relying on people for something I can learn and at learn and try to do myself.

Thanks
