I always remain on the lookout for an Axl Rose or Elvis Presley :)

So...now it's your turn.... 2024: WHAT WERE YOUR TOP GETS? MISSES?

Without a doubt, this vintage signed C. 1955 Joyce Randolph SP. I searched for 6 years everyday for this after selling my previous example to a friend looking to complete a set. I am thrilled to have a complete set of vintage SP's once again, and the fountain pen signature is much more attractive then the early skipping ballpoint on the previous example.

The previous example:

Wow! Congrats on concluding your "6 year Hunt" with this prize autograph Eric Keith Longo!

One of the nicest "Trixie Norton"'s that I've seen.

+1 to "the fountain pen signature is much more attractive".

I know i got a lot of good ones this year. Currently in boxes because I just moved. Also lost out on about 10 because the post office is horrible at forwarding.  Lost my Anniston,  kenny g, Josh brolin, Jimmy Fallon, Chris pine to name a few. They sure did forward those useless mail advertisements though.

Picked keanu reeves, Tom Selleck,  Kevin Conner, deion sanders, Brian may, jlo and katie perry to name a few off the top of my head.

wanted pacino to sign his book as well as cher. Oh well, another time.

My biggest get of 2024 is being friends with JIMMY JAMES! Enthusiasm is infectious. Happy holidays JJ.

Knob Dylan WOW! That is so very kind and nice of you to say! Right back at ya, and Happy Holidays!

Gets:

Alex Van Halen

Blackberry Smoke signed poster at M&G.

Victor Davis Hanson (TTM)

Frontmen

Misses: None that I wanted.

I guess the Chappell Roan signed CD would be up there largely on the basis of how quickly she blew up (and how much authentic signatures are going for now). Other prime ones include the signed vinyls from Tate McRae (Newbury), Melanie Martinez, Gracie Abrams, Remi Wolf (all three from Electric Fetus), Billie Eilish, personalized items from Aurora, Charli XCX and Beabadoobee thanks to Banquet. A few others as well.

Misses include Gwen Stefani (still waiting to see how this plays out, but it seems like at the very least the vinyl is bad), Bon Jovi autopenned CDs, Ashley Sienna poster (shipped as a flat, badly damaged but was able to get one from her in person last month).

Lots thanks to this site and external hunts.  Really appreciate this site and everyone here.  A really nice community.

Here's everything from 2024, I think...

Green Day

Saxon

Sepultura (Andreas and Derrick)

Bruce Dickinson

Tony Iommi

Glenn Danzig

Uriah Heep

Brian Tatler

Diamond Head

Metallica

Deep Purple

Slash

Nick Lowe

Billy Bremner

David Coverdale

Obituary

Rob Halford/Glenn Tipton/KK Downing/Ian Hill

Rob Halford/Glenn Tipton/Ritchie Faulkner/Scott Travis

Henry Rollins

Paul Di'Anno

Jerry Cantrell

Misses: Would have been nice to grab a Wicked CD for my daughter.  The Judas Priest signings earlier in the year were kind of a debacle. Can't think of much that was a clean miss. Had plenty of chances on The Offspring but ultimately passed.

That's an impressive GETS list  Wallet Boy !

Thanks Jimmy!

Hey Jimmy James! Glad to see you're still around. Good job taking a step back with purchases. I tried for a while but fell back in to old habits. This year seems to be lacking in big names compared to previous years, still a great year overall though and I still scored some great items. I've been focused more on hunting down hidden gems on ebay to fill out my collection but here is a list of items I bought solely based off of this community. Looking at them all written down now, this year really wasn't as bad as it seemed.

Mark Hoppus on preorder

I regret missing out on Eminem and Eddie Vedder but they were so pricy anyways. Still, I probably would have pulled the trigger if I saw them when they were in stock. Oh and missed out on Bill Gates as well but hoping he will come back in stock. Im also sad the Carly Simon vinyl was canceled and never happened

Hey  Jason H , that is an AMAZING list of GETS!

Man, I'd like to see your complete collection someday.

I hope you and your family are doing well.

Best over the Holiday, Jimmy
