Hi

Cant seem to find a link to the PSA quick opinion. Have PSA removed this service?

I would never use them, or buy or recommend anything vandalized with a sticker, but it appears this service stopped in April 2025. Others will know more.

You could of course post it here for review and save the fees. Who is the signer?

PSA's quick opinion service is no longer an option on their site. For 10 bucks you can use Beckett's "Signature Review" instead.

I really do not see much value in using these QO services

+1 -  unless you are a stockholder.

Beckett’s service is useful in that you can use it prior to submitting an item for authentication. I wouldn’t use it to make a buying decision.

I remember when I used to sell on ebay (over 20 years ago), mostly sports, I would use PSA QO as an authentication service to help me sell my items and it did work very well.

Better off giving it to my 5 yr old niece to authenticate. The amount of fakes Beckett have passed is staggering. They're no better than the forgers IMO.

It is, I suppose, one thing to confuse William Marshall (actor) with William Marshall (singer/actor), especially when they are using very similar forms and style, but to confuse James Gleason with Jackie Gleason is unacceptable.

.....or confusing with Costello with Abbott (and slabbing it that way as well).

At least that is (if ugly)  vaguely understandable as some sort of mix up of related names. I expect they will fix that? I would not know - do they tend to fix clerical errors?

The Marshall - one is a vocalist (d. 1994) and one a 6'4 actor (died 2003). They signed in such similar ways at one time it concerns me because they could not tell the difference, suggesting a quick job (?) was done on something other than a QO. The James/jackie gleason, those names are close enough to think it was just not read. Both are serious problems.

I hope I said that correctly - I am overtired I think.

Here’s a Warhol superstar Candy Darling that PSA authenticated as Charles Darling. Candy Darling wasn’t included in their fee schedule.
