McCartney gifted Beatles autographs, Ringo sketchbook page and letter.

Slightly worrying and concerning. I really hope this family aren’t being scammed.

I think he meant at YouTube?

Sorry I meant I left a comment on the YouTube video which was removed

JR Donkin,

These are all blatantly obvious forgeries in my opinion. I am confident there's absolutely Zero chance that they were signed by the Beatles.

I agree!

As do I. The Mid 70's Lennon style with the McCartney dated "'64" and the stated provenance of acquisition in 1964 is an obvious and inexplicable problem. It says volumes.

I am coming to this party late but just having watched the video this girl seems to believe that the autographs/letter were sent directly to her by Paul McCartney himself. Am I wrong?

So where is the scam? Why is the father talking about a scam when the daughter believes it was (and is reporting it as) an unsolicited gift? Why is there such a discrepancy in their respective understandings of how these documents were procured?

Personally, were I the lead detective, I would be focussing my investigation on this - to begin with.

Fishy.

Totally agree.

I've never understood where a third party charity comes into it.

The girl - and her family - seem to have been directly sent these items by 'Paul McCartney.' Yet they do not appear to be authentic.

I don't see how money would have changed hands. Or how someone could have paid for it as a gift. Surely it's just fake items being sent in by a fraudster. Either it's that simple or it's not.

Perhaps the father or an associate made a payment to a fraudulent or misled charity and, in return, received the autographs and dedication from the McCartney imposter.

Fair point.

Either way, let's just hope for a sensible resolution for everyone involved. There's obviously something unpleasant gone on here.

Earliest mention I see online about this was a video about the letter and forgeries from 8 months ago, (Feb. 8th)  posted in response to a video her father, apparently the influencer, and sound designer etc, made of Ellen last April.

12yo Bassist Heard from Paul McCartney After Playing This, So She P...

"The Sir Paul McCartney actually had a message for Ellen after she covered this song and so..."

Something not right here IMO.

That is interesting. Who makes those decisions?
