Rincer

Wow - I almost feel bad about posting the original notification for this item - that signature is so bad and does not justify the high price tag.  Glad I did not pull the trigger.

Its weird that he got so lazy on something with such a high price tag, but he probably has no concept of money by now. Guess he just doesnt want anyone making money off his signature except him.

Re: Paul McCartney

Hey Guys:

Thought I'd share this.

So Mcca played Montreal Quebec Canada November 17 and 18.

My friend and I had front row seats on the aisle and right beside Paul's entrance/exit tunnel -

this was the exact same spot 7 years ago where I got Paul to sign my Beatles White Album.

On Nov 17 my friend managed to get a first initial only scribble on his

Beatles "Yesterday Today" album from Mr. "I don't sign anymore".

It looked EXACTLY like this:

The next night on November 18th it was my turn.

I extended my right hand for a handshake and held out my Beatles "Revolver" album for Paul to sign, as you can see in the picture below.

His security guard Brian (wearing the yellow Security coat) stood directly behind Paul.

(Paul is wearing a black vest, with white shirt with long rolled up sleeves).

I've befriended Brian and he actually helped me get my White album signed in the exact same spot 7 years ago.

This time he led Paul over to us and then stood behind Paul. Paul was directly in front of me.

I'm the guy on the farthest left of the picture wearing a dark grey Parka coat with a furry hood, and you can see that I'm looking face to face with Paul.

Paul shook my right hand with his left hand, and said "Ya, Ya". He never let go, so

I asked "And will you sign my album Paul?".

He looked at it, said "Yaaaaaaa", and then let go of my hand and....exited down the tunnel.

I got NO autograph, scribble, nada...

BUT meeting him a second time and a handshake was still great...!!!

So the point of regaling my experience from a week ago and story above is that

the days of a FULL Paul McCartney autograph ARE really over...

Even, when you spend close to $5,000 for a signed book.

If you're really lucky and get him in public, He might shoot you a quick "P" scribble.

And on official signed books you get the "P" with an "M" extended scribble.

(Hey, kinda like the new Elton John "Autograph". LOL)

I guess Paul really meant it when he told Vanity Fair magazine back in 2021,

"I'm really not into or going to do autographs or selfies anymore"...

TBF I don't really blame him. someone like him is gonna get mobbed by autograph hunters everywhere he goes and he knows most of them will end up on ebay. Can't fault him for walking away.

He should do a video like Ringo did. "I'm telling you to get back, any stuff you give me to sign will be binned"

Yes, I realize that. Thanks.

I'm not so sure, he did a full sig for the guys over at record store day but yeah for random meetups it's over.

wow 0800Autocollect I didn't know he did a full sig at record store day,

you're right though for random meetups he's the same as Ringo now:

"I'm NOT signing"

still,

it was funny when you said his "new" autograph looks like

he is actually signing as "RUN AWAY",

nice to see your sense of humour Eric Keith Longo

;)

look forward to more of that...

:-)
